What LOFAR LTA One-Click-Processing Frontend can do for you

  • Webportal for UC2 in PROCESS.
  • Provides an interface to https://lta.lofar.eu/. The user can select any imaging observation form the LOFAR LTA.
  • The user can select one of the reduction pipelines.
  • Select default or custom parameters when deploying the pipeline
  • Wait a couple of days; the user will receive an email with a link for retrieving the sky map.

This is a Webportal for one-click-processing of observations from the LOFAR LTA into sky maps. The goal of this demonstrator is to empower scientists to process radio astronomy data in the LOFAR archive using (distributed) computational resources as well as to improve upon the current workflows and data services. As a results, users will be able to generate new scientific results based on archived data products more easily than before.

This webportal allows the user to select observations from the LOFAR Long Term Archive, select a processing pipeline and target compute infrastructure, optionally set parameters for the workflow, and submit the job. The process services will then be used to transfer the data from the LAT to the compute site, submit the compute job, and return the results.
